TRUST & DATA
Privacy
Know the Hold should reduce risk for people seeking shelter, not create another stream of personal data to exploit.

Hotel reports may include the property, deposit amount, payment method, stay date, and notes you choose to provide. Contact messages may include a name or email if you voluntarily enter them.
Our hosting provider may process ordinary technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as request logs and device or browser information.
How we use it
We use submitted information to research hotel policies, review corrections, respond to messages, prevent abuse, and improve Know the Hold. We do not currently require user accounts.
What we do not do
We do not intentionally sell personal information. We do not publish a reporter’s name or email with a hotel report. Avoid placing reservation numbers, payment-card details, government identifiers, medical information, or other sensitive personal data in a submission.
